For funeral directors and stonemasons

A bespoke addition to your service

For families who want to tell their loved one's story to anyone passing their grave or memorial. Access to the eMemorybox is via a small stainless-steel plaque containing a QR Code that opens a memorial page. Any smartphone can open it: no app, nothing for the family or their visitors to download.

We etch it, place it in its own presentation box and set up the memorial page for the family to fill in. You fit it with the headstone, or hand it over as part of your aftercare, and the family is supplied with a simple-to-use link to upload memories of their loved one. Great care has been taken to ensure the durability and longevity of both the plaque and the page. Once you make the sale, we take it from there.

How it works for you

You keep the relationship. We do the work.

  1. Offer it to the client

Mention the plaque when you discuss the headstone or the aftercare. Most families have never seen one and most say yes once they understand what it opens.

  2. Send us the basics

Let us know the name of the deceased. We laser etch the plaque with its own bespoke QR code and post it to you or the family in its gift box.

  3. Fit it, or hand it over

Stonemasons fit it with the stone. Funeral directors hand it to the family with the instructions. The family builds the memorial page themselves through a private link and we check it before it goes live, so it costs you no time. There are no deadlines: the page can be edited as many times as the family requires, even after the funeral.

Why families ask for it

What a scan opens

A memory page opens revealing memories: the family's own words, a life in pictures, video and sound, and a place for visitors to leave a memory. It is a web page, so anyone who visits the grave can open it with a phone camera. No app, nothing to download, nothing that goes out of date.

  • Black on stainless steel, 80 x 50mm, laser etched and lacquered: nothing to fade or peel
  • Self-adhesive 3M backing for a permanent fix
  • Plain QR, heart or medal designs. Medal plaques for veterans at cost price. Can also be customised at the client's request.
  • The web address is protected for life. Ask for details.

Safeguarding your reputation

We understand that you have spent years building a reputation, and that rightly means everything to you. With this in mind we have built in various safeguards.

  • Back-up: every page and its photos are backed up every night, off site
  • We approve all pages before publication
  • Stainless steel plaques, lacquered to provide extra longevity
  • Webpage is protected for lifelong visibility. Ask for more details.

Minimal work for you

Once the client has informed you they wish to proceed, you take payment and we do the rest.

If you would like samples to show families, or a plaque for your own memorial garden or chapel of rest, ask.

Order a plaque for a family

Tell us who the plaque is for and the family's email address. We check the order, then the family gets a private link to build the memorial page themselves, in their own words and their own time. When they are happy, we check the page, put it live, and send you the QR code files for the laser.

  • The family builds the page; you do not have to collect photos or words
  • Nothing goes live until it has been checked
  • QR code supplied as PNG and SVG, pointing at an address we keep for good
