For a child who has lost someone

The eMemorybear

A cuddly bear with magic in its heart. For a child who is struggling to cope with the loss of someone close, or even a family pet, this very special bear lets an adult sit with that child and, with a tap of the teddy's heart, bring all those memories to life in the form of words, pictures, video and sound. The child can sleep soundly, close to the teddy, knowing that those memories will still be there in the teddy's heart when they wake.

Why a bear

Memories kept safely in the bear's heart

A child who has lost someone does not grieve to a timetable. Some days they want to see a face and hear a voice. Some days they just want something to hold. The bear does both, and the grown-up holds the key.

Because the memories can only be accessed by scanning the bear's magical heart with our app, a parent or guardian can decide when and how often the child is given access to the page. That way they have an adult present when they are dealing with sometimes raw and painful memories, and yet, as they fall asleep, they are reassured that the memories are kept safely in the bear's heart and will still be there when they wake.

How the bear works

Three simple steps

  1. Tell us who the bear is for

At the checkout you give us the name of the person the bear remembers. We personalise the bear and connect it to their eMemorybox, so it arrives ready.

  2. Add their memories in the app

Download our free app and we will give you a unique code to enter before you begin. The app is so easy to use, and you can edit as many times as you like, even after you have received your bear, so take your time.

  3. Tap the heart with the app

Hold your phone against the bear's heart and all those memories come to life on the screen. Sit with your child while they relive those memories, at a time you think is right.

Safe for children

Made for small hands and big feelings

No account for the child

The bear opens only with our app on a grown-up's phone. Nothing to sign into, no adverts, nothing to stumble into.

Private

The memories live in the app, not on a public website. Only the people you give the bear to can open them.

Add to it for years

Their page is never finished. Add a memory on a birthday, a photo you find in a drawer, a voice note from Grandad.

A proper bear

From the Aurora range, 11 inches high when sitting, eco-friendly and safe for children of all ages. Soft enough to sleep with.

Questions parents ask

Before you decide

Does my child need a phone or an account?

No. The bear opens with the free eMemorybox app on a grown-up's phone. There is no account for the child and nothing for them to sign into.

How does the child see the memories?

Hold a phone with the eMemorybox app open against the bear's heart. The words, pictures, video and sound you added come to life on the screen.

Can I decide when they see them?

Yes. Because the memories can only be opened by tapping the bear's heart with the app, a parent or guardian decides when and how often the child sees them, and can make sure an adult is there.

Can I add more memories later?

Yes. Their eMemorybox is not fixed when the bear arrives. Add words, photos, videos and sounds whenever you want.

How big is the bear, and is it safe for young children?

The bear is 11 inches high when sitting, from the Aurora range. It is eco-friendly and safe for children of all ages.

What comes in the box?

The bear in its own canvas bag, a personalised letter thanking the child for adopting the bear, and a certificate of adoption. The bear is already connected to your loved one's eMemorybox.

What the bear opens

A bear's memories stay private in the app, so we cannot show you a real one. This is a memorial page that Kelly's family chose to share, and it holds the same kind of memories: a film, the family's own words, a life in pictures. Shown with the family's permission.
